Painting Your Car on Your Own

If you drive a car that you truly love, you will definitely go to lengths to maintain its beauty. Of course, you would want to impress people of your ride, thus, you have it regularly car washed and detailed. But when you drive down the motorway beside other cars with similar models and colour, your automobile's individuality disappears altogether. This is where a car paint job will come in handy - that is if you are not afraid to flaunt your personality on your car's body. Although you can have it designed by car customising garages, the satisfaction you get for having done it yourself is different. Thus, if you have enough faith in your hand and eye coordination, a do-it-yourself job will work just fine for you.

Before you do anything else, prepare everything that you might need in the process - dust masks, goggles, sandpaper, masking tape, car wash, paint spray, etc. After this, scout for an open area where you can start painting. If you have parked the car in the right place, wash its exterior since dirt can hinder you from getting the true colour of the paint, and then leave it to dry. Afterwards, rub the rough areas with sandpaper before covering the areas that you do not wish to paint on with paper and masking tape. Cover the windows and the interiors too as an added measure. At this point, you can start spraying the paint and let it dry for at least fifteen minutes before putting a second coat and a third coat. Now that your car is appropriately painted, take it down the streets and revel in the fact that you have successfully managed your vehicle's paint job!
